We are now presenting a new version of the one-act farce "The Proposal" by Anton Chekhov. The play can be presented in two different ways. Radio drama is one strategy. Working along with Taichung Station, the seasoned voice of the Positive Broadcasting Station, we will overcome time and space constraints by emulating old-fashioned radio dramas and exhibiting students' superb oral performance abilities. The other student group will present "The Proposal" as a physical comedy.
"The Fairy Tales of Perrault" features three segments that are less frequently performed in Taiwan: "Little Thumb," "The Donkey-Skin Princess," and "The Foolish Wishes" from a famous French fairy tale writer, Perrault. We aim to provide the audience with new perspectives and diverse imaginations in theater.
Directed by senior member Lin Li-Chung of the Da Kai Theater Group, Mr. Yao Yi-Wei's comedy "Let's Take a Walk Together" focuses on comedic portrayal, the establishment of voice and language, and the control of rhythm.
"One Seventeenth" refers to the most significant one-seventeenth of the students' lives as they are portrayed in the play, perfectly summarizing their aspirations and passions at the age of 17. It is the climax of their goals and ambitions, gathered over the course of an energetic summer spent pursuing dreams and fusing real-world and virtual imagery. It represents development and change—the start of realizing their initial dream.
We learn to appreciate various forms of beauty in the process of searching for solutions.
